Philadelphia, PA – November 25, 2008 -- American Healthcare Providers Insurance Services Company (“American”) announced today it has received final regulatory approval to combine the businesses of its New Jersey and Maryland exchanges with the business of the Pennsylvania exchange which American manages. The Pennsylvania exchange has also changed its name to Healthcare Providers Insurance Exchange ("HPIX").

What has emerged from the 2008 consolidation of New Jersey Healthcare Providers Insurance Exchange (NJHPIX) and Maryland Healthcare Providers Insurance Exchange (MDHPIX) into our Pennsylvania company is Healthcare Providers Insurance Exchange (HPIX)--a financially strong company (see related articles) which has gained a solid reputation in the physician community.
