Early Reporting/Intervention

We take early reporting seriously and, as a result, we require that unexpected or adverse patient outcomes be reported to us immediately. The early reporting of adverse patient outcomes has become a key ingredient in HPIX’s ability to prevent and minimize claims. HPIX is committed to making this process as painless as possible. We have a nationwide toll-free number which our members can call to report adverse patient outcomes. Once doing so, our members can be assured that their report will be handled confidentially by our experienced claims team. If need be, we can refer matters to our risk management team who can provide a more detailed assessment and advice regarding practice risks.
